Public life part-1

Dubai, the city of joy and the place where east meet west, the place where the western urban developer had applied his all experience to clear their backlog which they suffer during their infrastructure development. As a civil engineer, I am seeing Dubai in a different way in the sense of infrastructure development; all the legging which human observed in modern and ancient civilization development had kept in mind while designing and developing the Dubai.
My views are not to endorse the developer but it is concentrated on the story of two brother’s life, who was residing in Dubai during the recession of 2008.I met these guys at Dubai airport in 2014 when I was on the way to Doha from India via transit flights to Dubai, the story was such a painful which sank my heart much time during the conversation and now whenever it comes to my mind.
“I am from very poor family, my father was a private job holder in a shop in Kolkata and he was illiterate but learns many things of daily use while working in there. He worked 56 years with a single firm; we can’t even call it the firm as it was a shop only, where 2 or 3 salesmen working as helping hand to an owner. He started to work for his life existence from the age of 11 only. At the age of 22, he marries with my mother who was only 16-years old. I am the third child of my family and my birth was after 15 years. Fifteen years after the marriage was not nice for my mother, many up down and unpleasant things happen something collectively and something personally to her but she hardly tells anything to me about her hard time. She was very entrusted and dedicated towards the religious and non-religious education, her views were to teach in KALIMA before you feed them first after the birth.
My mother dies with an untreatable disease at the age of 43 when I was in class 10th. . After six months of incapacitation, on 23rd December 2001, my mother was gone into the unconscious mode not able to talk, not able to eat and even unable to breathe comfortably. A telephone call made to my father to come back to home and another relative. My elder brother was very close to my mother as he was the first and eldest son; he was all the time with my mother during her last moment of the life. And at around 8 pm in the night a stream of blood from the mouth taken away my mother’s soul. It was horrible to stay alive after the death of mother in so young age but the God who knows everything and present everywhere to ease the human had given me the things which bring some feeling like my mother gone somewhere and will come back in some time, while I knew she is dead and won’t come back but it was God who put something like this in my mind.
I acquire the diploma in civil engineering from Polytechnic college in 2005 after getting 10th in 2002.I have the very big dream and stamina to go ahead for education but due to bad condition and helpless position of my family I decided to go for short term earning and I found three-year diploma is a little bit good than any other things. Somehow I passed diploma and started working in a construction firm. I learn a lot from first official  boss Mr. Sandeep Singh (L&T).I am calling it as first official because I was in construction job before completing my diploma also and used to travel 120 km daily by bus to earn 6000 a month.
Mr.Sandeep Singh was a very nice man I ever met in the construction profession; I used ‘ever’ word because in those days I was blank, no experience and nothing but still someone supporting me in such a magical way  and teaching me like a son then it really matter. It called God’s help to helpless.
I left the job in 2006 flew away for Dubai, started working with Dubai metro on huge package; it really change my life, very soon I was able to manage my family in my own ways. Younger brothers get good standard and education in their own choice school.
But things goes wrong when the recession hit the world and the Dubai who is the centre of the world shaken like an epicenter of the earthquake, I lost my job due cost cutting. I stay there 3 months on my own expenses and tried to search a job; searched in every corner and beyond the capacity but nothing comes to the execution and finally I pack my bag for India. What not happen with me in the gap of the 6-month jobless period, I became the center of the joke everyone tried to take the sip on me. One day I receive a call from last company HR department to re-join the organization and somehow I flew away to the Dubai; there are many ups and down in my life Sarfraz which I can’t remember but thanks to ALLAH who gave me the strength to fight with those and all the time I am the winner by grace of him only.”
I said to him: Then why you are so upset if you are happy with the God and with your conditions.
No, I am not upset but giving him thanks and spreading his kindness to all other who is hopeless.
You know …………………….Continued for part 2.
